nonprofit administrative Internship (Spring 2019)


Wholesome Wave Georgia believes that all Georgians should have access to fresh, wholesome and locally grown food. Founded in 2009, WWG strives to strengthen local food communities by empowering networks of farmers to facilitate access to and awareness of healthy food choices. Position Summary

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the intern will rotate through a number of tasks to get a feel for the varied components involved in supporting the operations of a small non-profit organization. This position is scheduled to start on January 7, 2019 and will go through May 10, 2019, with possibility of extension. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with expense entry and revenue entry

  • Reconcile monthly bank statements

  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external meetings

  • Assist with management of Salesforce donor database

  • Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events

  • Field general questions, emails, and phone calls

  • Other related duties as assigned


  • Currently enrolled in junior or senior college with a major in business administration or related area of study

  • Excellent administrative skills including strong knowledge and experience with developing and maintaining spreadsheets, collaborative Google Drive documents, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)

  • Superb organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills


  • This is an unpaid internship intended that may be applied towards college credit

  • The internship hours are flexible and will accommodate the intern’s academic commitments and availability (typical hours per week will range between 16-20)
